Movie Review – Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo

It’s been almost one and half years time for Amrinder Gill to be seen in a Punjabi film after Daddy Cool Munde Fool. Although he gave a superhit music album “Deewanapan” in between but he was missed on the big screen.

Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo shows the mixture of two countries cultures and the old enmity in the hearts of Indians with Gore.

About Story –
The plot takes off from Najjar Singh’s (Yograj Singh) home who is a supreme leader of a backward village and hates the white people from the core of his heart. But his elder grandson Roop (Aman Khatkar) who is in Canada, falls in love with a Gori. Having no chance of convincing his grandfather, Roop asks his younger brother Kala (Amrinder Gill) to convince their grandfather for this marriage. The clever mind, Kala acquires the help of Maan Sahib (Binnu Dhillon) to fit the jack. While settling his elder brother, Kala himself falls for a Punjabi Gori girl Alisha (Amrit Maghera).

What’s Good –
We can’t just mention what’s good in this film when almost everything has been executed superbly. Starting from story concept to dialogs, screenplay, characters performance, Direction, everything has been upto the mark. Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo title itself has been justified to a great deal. The film will result into a big boom for Amrinder Gill’s acting career.

What’s Not –
There aren’t many things to say not good in the film, even which are, they are hard to find. Only flaw to be mention in the film is, the story moves too fast in the first 20-30 minutes and few topics could have been given more depth especially the Love story. In the second half some scenes look a bit uneven. But these flaws are too small to overtake the main purpose of the movie, which is entertainment and it keeps entertaining all the time.

About Characters –
Amrinder Gill is looking more and more confident in the acting everytime he comes on the big screen and in this movie he has looked the best by far. This has been Amrinder Gill’s best acting performance till date. Aman Khatkar was earlier seen playing a cameo in Gippy Grewal starrer Mirza (2012). It’s the first time he has come at front to show his acting skills and we must say he looks promising in the character he has been given in the movie. Binnu Dhillon has been doing the role of a limelight in every movie and again he has done the same in this movie. He has been absolutely superb in the character of Maan Sahib. Amrit Maghera, the London born girl is making her debut with this movie and she has done a decent job. Karamjit Anmol and Rana Ranbir are tremendous with their different looks and their humorous characters. Yograj Singh has looked as dynamic as his young age in the character of grandfather. Sardar Sohi and Terence Winkless have also played their parts well enough.

About Direction –
Pankaj Batra has already proved his grip in the film making with “Naughty Jatts” and he has looked on top of his work in Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo. Pankaj Batra has carried the film superbly and he has managed to define each & every character as much as it was required. He certainly has established himself as one of the top directors in this industry.

About Story, Screenplay & Dialogs –
As we have already mentioned, these aspects have looked to be worked very hard upon. Story, screenplay and dialogs complement each other and to the characters throughout the complete duration of the movie, great work by Amberdeep Singh.

About Music & Background Score –
One can hardly doubt the quality of the Music when the names like Amrinder Gill and Jatinder Shah are associated with it. All the songs in Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo are brilliant and it’s hard to choose one out of all. But still we have to, so Laazmi Dil Da Kho Jana by Amrinder Gill and Pyar Tere Da Assar by Prabh Gill are the picks. But if you are looking to dance hard on something then Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo title song is the choice.

All in All (About Movie) –
All in all Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo looks a best of a team effort. Actors, Story, Music, Direction, all segments have been terrific. An enjoyable movie throughout with the soul touching music, what else one can ask for. So there are many reasons to call it a complete package and a MUST WATCH!!

Star Rating –
From, Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo gets 4/5.
